Hilltop’s Steck Elementary School raised the roof and some critical funds this past weekend with its Second Annual “Haunting at Steck Manor”.

An army of parent and student volunteers transformed this Denver Public school from an ECE-5th grade elementary school to the spooky spider, vampire and ghoul filled Steck Manor. From the grand entrance which was designed to look like it needed a bit of curb appeal, to the haunted inhabitants, over 1000 visitors were thrilled by this elementary age appropriate haunted house.

Steck Elementary has repeatedly been at the top of school performance lists for a number of years primarily because of dedicated parents like Perry & Co.’s own Kim Kouba and her husband Ted. “We were originally attracted to this school for our three children because there is such a big commitment from parents to pitch in to volunteer and raise money when school budgets are cut. We’ve been involved doing that for almost 11 years now and not only has it sent a message to our kids that we value their education, but the quality of education they’ve had because of this parent support has been amazing.”
