The neighborhoods surrounding Washington Park include Wash Park, West Wash Park, Bonnie Brae, Belcaro, and Polo Club. They are served by three small commercial/retail areas right in the neighborhood – the Shops along University Boulevard, the Old South Gaylord street shops and the shops and restaurants at the intersection of Alameda and Downing.

The homes in University Park are very diverse. Over the last year, the least expensive home was $200,000 while the most expensive home was $1.4 million. During the same time period, the average home price was $693,000 and the median price was $765,000. University Park is quickly becoming a luxury neighborhood as older homes are razed in favor of brand new, larger, more expensive homes.

Berkeley seems to be poised to be the next neighborhood in North Denver to make great strides in growth and popularity in the next several years. With its close proximity to such neighborhoods as the Highlands and Sloan’s Lake, a 4.1 mile drive to The Market on Larimer Square, or an easy access to both the I-25 and I-70 corridors puts Berkeley in the perfect spot for being brought into the limelight.

Perry & Co. Broker Associate Nicole Ridley could write a book about Bow Mar. …212 homes on predominately one acre sites, ranch style homes, mature landscaping. The community is a little bit of a throw-back – kids outside playing, neighbors genuinely care about each other and help out during times of need, neighbors are an extended family. Our community revolves around the lake… now that it’s winter the lake has frozen and we ice skate in the cove, hockey games seem to be going on early in the am and late into the night. In summer, the lake is a flurry of activity with lifeguards from Memorial Day to Labor Day sun up to sun down. Children swim in the lake, jump off docks and play for hours on the water tramp. Adults love to “swim the bouys” for exercise – it’s a mile in circumference. Concerts and events are organized throughout the year. Pretty idyllic…

Perry & Co. Broker Associate Courtney Ranson said, “My knowledge of living, working and playing in Denver allows me to provide up-to-date information about what is going on in the different Central Denver neighborhoods. Re-doing an old home, and living in an old home, I come from a different perspective and am able to educate buyers on the nuances of living in an older home.”
